In June 2025, we presented preliminary plans for the proposed Kinnelhead Wind Farm located approximately 6km southwest of Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway.

Since then, we have been refining and improving the design following community feedback and results of surveys and investigations.

As a result, we are now keen to share our updated design plans with the local community and as part of our pre-application consultation are hosting a second round of public exhibitions in the local area.

Please come along to one of the events listed below:

Tuesday 23 June

1pm - 5pm

Moffat Town Hall
High Street, Moffat DG10 9HF

Wednesday 24 June 2026

3pm - 8pm

Beattock Village Hall
Craigielands Village, DG10 9QZ

If you are not able to attend either event and would like to speak to the project team, we can arrange a separate call to discuss the updated design.

All exhibition material and feedback forms will be available on this webpage from 23 June 2026. To participate, please provide feedback on the proposal by Friday 31 July 2026

Comments will still be accepted after this date but may not be considered in relation to the proposal. Feedback forms will be available during the public exhibitions as well as on the project website from the day of the first public exhibition.

Forms can be submitted online, downloaded and submitted via email to kinnelhead.windfarm@res-group.com or sent to Kinnelhead project team, RES, 3rd Floor STV, Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1PQ.

Please note that comments submitted to RES at this time are not representations to the determining authority (Scottish Government's Energy Consents Unit). There will be an opportunity to submit representations to the determining authority should an application be made.
